My mission belongs to the Lord. With all my heart I give my energy and my time to the Master because I love Him. Therefore I am going to look at everyday not as mine but as His. And I will treat each minute of His time with respect and focus and the dedication it deserves.--Russell M. Ballard

WEEKLY UPDATE -- Hallloooo!!!
Crazy week. A LOT of changes. First of all, I am still in Shilin but, I HAVE A NEW COMPANION! Her name is Sister Madelene Joy Reinhard. She is 19, from Orem, Utah. Has 5 siblings, LOVES to DRAW (she is an amazing sketch artist) and she is such a hard worker. I love her already!
Our Mission has recently enforced a new (old) rule where Sister missionaries teach sisters and Elders teach brothers. So, Sister Reinhard and I are the only sisters in our District and our district is comprised of two areas so because of this new enforcement, we are now responsible for teaching not only the people we find in our area (Shilin) but in the other area (Tianmu) as well. This transfer is going to be so much fun.Our Mission President has also asked that his missionaries adjust their focus so it is not only "Teaching Repentance and Baptizing Converts" but to "Work with the Members and Teach families". We have started a thing this transfers where we go together as a district to each of our ward member's house and visit with/teach their families. We kneel together in prayer and ask the Lord to help us all find opportunities to share this Gospel. So far we have visited only two of the families in our ward and have already gotten two handfuls of names (member referrals). Missionary work is not just knocking on doors and talking to strangers on the street. It is working with the greatest tools we have, THE MEMBERS!I know that this email is short but I am so grateful for this opportunity I have to serve the Lord. I know that through our diligence, our obedience and through our faith, Heavenly Father will help us have success. I hope every one is happy, and healthy, and grateful for this gospel. I know I am!Love you!! XD-Sister Goo"God is preparing people to receive YOUR testimony of restored truth. He requires your faith and then your action to share fearlessly what has become so precious to you and to those you love."

WEEKLY UPDATE--Surprise! Today is actually P-day :)
Subject: Surprise! Today is actually P-day :)Date: August 22, 2016 at 11:39:42 AM HST
Sorry for being MIA , we had a mission conference yesterday (Yes, the ENTIRE mission got together, it was very exciting!) with the Asia Area Presidency. It was the most powerful meeting I have ever attended. Listening to Elder Evans counsel us missionaries about how to teach when we find and find when we teach, it was absolutely incredible! This mission is the Lord's time and we need to do it the Lord's way. That is the only way we will have success.
This week I was able to once again go on exchanges with Sister Westover. She came with me to my area and Lee jie mei went to Sister Westover's area. It's amazing how much a single companion can influence the work in an area. We were able to meet our weekly key indicator goals in the short 24 hour period that we were companions. Just going out and going hard. Seriously the fastest 24 hours of my life.In honor of this ridiculous new Pokemon Go! game, our Zone got together in a park crowded full of Pokemon players and put on our own Pokemon activity. (See pictures...) It was pretty successful.
Lunch appointments with investigators happen often. However, this week we had a very special appointment. We went to this udon restaurant and our investigator orders the restaurant's special, a 5 kg (11 lbs.) bowl of Udon. They had a rule. If he could finish the entire thing in 30 minutes it was free. So the first half an hour of ourappointment was spent cheering him on as he charged this gigantic tub of noodles...Half an hour and an empty sink bowl later, we shared with him the Restoration and set a baptismal date.On Saturday night we came home to a red hornet flying around our house....\O.O/ A spatula and some Mr. Clean later (we didn't have bug spray) the little fella was a goner...we later realized that there was actually a nest behind our dryer. But it's all good now.WE HAD A BAPTISM!!! Zhang Hao Ping! COOOLEST 15 year old EVER!! He was actually a member referral. A recent convert's little brother. We hope one day to be able to see their entire family get sealed together.
ZHANG HAO PING This week was the most excellent! I don't know how it can get any better but somehow, every week it just does!Well fam, just want to let you all know how much I love and miss you all! A BIG MAHALO to my Ohana for ALL THE LETTERS AND PACKAGES!! For me, getting letters is like opening presents on Christmas day so, THANK YOU!!Today we are going to visit some really old friends of ours, the Terracotta Warriors at the National Palace Museum. Exciting, I know! Also, tomorrow we find out who will stay and who will go (This Thursday is Transfers)XD XD XD!!-Sister Goo
