Helloooo!!
I know I say this every week but I mean it every time. This week has been such a goooood week! We got to go to the temple, took a trip to Costco, had a successful Finding activity, our district had another baptism, my companion and i found heaps of new investigators, we strengthened our relationships with our members, helped our recent converts prepare names for the temple, did some family history of my own, watched the Asia Area Conference Broadcast, and just felt sooo much joy. SO MUCH LOVE. This week was just a good week.
As I was looking at Family search with my companion, we wanted to see if we could trace our line back to the Book of Mormon times. Her long line of Swedish/German ancestors dates back to the 600's. I figured my chinese side would go back pretty far since most chinese are HUGE on family history. On family search, it doesnt. I have some work to do. The cool thing is though, on my Hawaiian side , it traces back through lines of royalty all the way back to the 450's. Just fourty more years further and I could probably connect it to someone in the Book of Mormon! How crazy...
My favorite part of tracting are the responses that we get:
-"mei you kong" = I have no room
-"bu yong" = I don't need
-" gan shijian" = No time
-" wo xin foujiao" = Im buddhist
-" xie xie, xie xie!" = thank you, thank you!
I am absolutely loving it here in Taiwan. I love my mission. I love the people. I love this work. I love you all!! Thank you for your continuous words of support and encouragement. :)
