WEEKLY UPDATE--Taipei 101

Inside Taipei 101
This week was beautiful!! We were able to visit a lot of our members and Less-Actives this week and every visit we were given food. We returned home in the evening to observe that we had collected an assortment of sweets. Chocolate chip cookies, haupia, tupig, flan, oreo cheesecake, and taro rolls. (All of which I had been wanting to eat but could not find) Heavenly Father blesses his missionaries a lot.

Another miracle. My companion and I were asked to teach the beginner English class. We had gone English boarding the day before and found a mother (82 years old) and a daughter (40 years old)
that were insterested and committed to come. They came to english class. We taught them simple phrases. After class they asked why we missionaries teach free English in Taiwan. We explained our purpose and shared the first lesson and now they are new investigators!

We were able to visit one of our members, Xiao Nai nai. She is a cute 70 year old lady, lives in a convalescent home, has diabetes and is hooked up to a catheter. Getting around by herself is a struggle. We went over to her home and wanted to share with her a short video but her TV wasn't working. SO, we rolled her out of her apartment and pushed her to the nearest park where we enjoyed all that God has given us. Just being outside made her so happy. Simple things like this that we often take for granted is a miracle indeed.

With President's permission, we decided to start a hula class. All of the members want to learn and it is a good activity for them to be able to invite their friends to. It is also a wonderful opportunity for others to know about our chapel.

Before I end this email, I have one request. Help our mission out by going on our facebook page and checking out our english class commercial! then once you have watched it, like it and share it and let people know!

 MAHALO!! LOVE YOU!!!

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind"
