WEEKLY UPDATE -- My companion has a cyst...

Alright fam, I know that Thanksgiving was probably pretty great but don't forget that the 15 pounds that you put on with all the kalua pork, rice, and Ted's pie is not going to come off magically...

Thanksgiving is not celebrated in Taiwan. However, my companion and I were fortunate enough to be in a ward where the members knew what Thanksgiving was, are extremely generous and invited us to their house for Thanksgiving dinner. Now that Thanksgiving is over, guess what?!  It is OFFICIALLY ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!😆

At Chiang Kai Shek Memorial with Sister Lee and Sister Wong.
This week we were able to visit A LOT of members and LA's (LESS ACTIVE). I probably shouldn't be saying this but it's pretty funny. Besides the fact that a big portion of our LA's are LA because they stopped doing the simple things like reading, praying and going to church, another reason that MOST of our Less-Active women are less-active is because someone in our ward said something that they didn't like or they didn't agree with. We have even come across some that stopped coming to church because someone in the relief society called her "fat"..... 😰We all have our imperfections, and I would hope that being called fat would not be a reason as to why one would stop coming to church, but please remember we should all try to be a bit more Christlike....

Other than that, the families in our ward are pretty sick. Besides my best friends (Cynthia and Allen!) There is a Ding Family that lives about a 45 minute bike ride away from our house. The Dad is a farmer and makes his own Soybean yogurt and their 13 year old son plays the piano by ear and composes his own music. There is a Wang Family who has a japanese akita, The mom is ALWAYS baking, the dad is a professional basketball player, and their youngest son is the cutest member in our ward! (His name is Tofu). There is a Hong family, the mom makes bags, book cases, blankets, she can do anything with a sewing machine and some fabric and her daughter paints, and speaks 4 different languages. They have TWO Japanese akitas. Man, I really love this place.

And by the time I am finished in serving Bade I will exceed proficiency in map reading and biking up hills...💃

 Happy December!
