I bet you all have probably started watching the 25 days of Christmas marathon on ABC Family, which means
聖誕節快要到! Christmas is just around the corner! I hope you all are #lightingtheworld this month! (If you don't know what I am talking about, you can find out right here --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJmAV0gTp_Q)
This week was pretty funny. We spent almost the entire week out of our area! We had good reasons of course. We visited LA's (who don't live in our area but are in our ward) went on exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders, had Zone Conference, and traveled to Taipei City on Saturday and Sunday for Choir performances. So with the little time that we DID have we did what missionaries do BEST, we went finding! A typical contact this week went like this:
Us: "Hello! 你好!"
Stranger: " Hmm."
Us: " What's your name? 你叫什麼名字?"
Stranger: " My (last) name is Zeng. 我性增."
Us. "Do you have kids? 你有小孩子嗎?"
Stranger: "No. 沒有."
Us: "Are you married? 你結婚了嗎?"
Stranger: "No. 還沒."
Us: "Do you work? 你在工作嗎?"
Stranger: "No. 最近沒有."
Us: "What are you doing on Sunday at 9:00? 你在星期天早上9點有事嗎?"
Stranger: "Nothing. 沒事."
Us: "You should come to church! 來教會吧!"
Stranger: "Okay. 哦好."
And then he gives us his phone number. BUT we forgot to call him to remind him to come....We set up to meet with him on Wednesday though!
This week, on the 9th of December it was VISIT MEMEBERS DAY in our mission. So, from 11:00am until 10:00 pm all we did was visit with members, build relationships with them, and teach them how they can share the gospel with their friends and family! Members are missionaries too!
We also ate Barbecue buffets TWICE this week! Thanks to our members! Ten out of ten! Sister Eyre ate another Century old egg this week. Her english class student brought it to her. She did not enjoy it.
There is a scripture in Doctrine and Convenants 64:33 that outlines this week really well. "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great." And I leave this with my Ohana hoping that this week, we all BE NOT WEARY IN WELL DOING!
