Ping Pong Party |
Anyway, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! Yes, this holiday is still going. The Chinese aren't about two day holidays. They celebrate Chinese New Year for at least two weeks! So during these two weeks of celebration we get fed sooooo much. Seriously. After being fed Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner everyday for two weeks, you forget what it feels like to be hungry. The members here get so excited to feed the missionaries that they prepare SO MUCH FOOD and it is always a fun time with them. But after the second day you just kind of feel like 😰. That's alright, it just means MORE EXERCISE!💃
This past week a lot of change happened. We had a mission conference and together we watched the World Wide Missionary Broadcast. During this broadcast they announced changes to the Missionary daily and preparation day schedule as well as the reduction from 9+ key indicators to just 4. We read 2 Nephi 10:23 and Doctrine and Covenants 58 and discussed the significance of these changes and how it will allow us to more fully use our agency to decide what we missionaries should do and at what times that will help us and our area in the work. I think it's pretty neat. The Brethren brought up how these changes will be better in assisting missionaries adjust to after mission life. After mission life is a crazy thought....I don't ever want my mission to end! 🙆
Recently we've had trouble getting our investigators to church so we decided that this week we are just going to give EVERYONE chapel tours. And we did just that. We gave everyone of our investigators a chapel tour and they loved just how warm and peaceful it is. And guess what?!?! We were able to reap the fruits of our labor and see a few of our investigators at church! #PROGRESS!
I have been getting multiple emails from missionaries who are just about to finish their work and I am SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU! Missions are forever!
We had a ping pong party. My companion burned some things. We receive at least 2 oranges from people on the street every day. We are learning more and more Chinese every day. Things here are all so good, SO GOOD!
