WEEKLY UPDATE--Do you know how to boil eggs?

For those of you who don't already know, eggs do not take a long time to boil. And for those who are sometimes forgetful , please remember that when you are cooking something in the kitchen, do not go to sleep at night before you turn the fire off.

If you saw the pictures you might have caught a glimpse of the blackened pot of burnt eggs. I don't have time to explain in vivid detail what exactly happened but on wednesday night my companion decided to boil some eggs . I had no idea she started cooking. We went to sleep at 10:30. I woke up around 12 to the sound of glass breaking, people pounding on our door, and repeatedly ringing our doorbell. It freaked me out. A lot. I woke up sister Reinhard. We called 119 (The number for the police and fire department) and told them that we thought someone was trying to break in. "You need to open the door and let us in!", they said. (They got a call from someone outside) We open our bedroom door and our living room, kitchen, everything was filled with smoke. Our carbon monoxide detector went off, we ran outside. Police, firemen, neighbors ran inside to put out the fire and get rid of the smoke. So after our landlord came to check out his place, after we called the AP's to come and make a record, after all heads and limbs were accounted for,  after all this excitement, the only thing that was damaged was a pot, 7 eggs and our neighbor's glass door. (The police thought the smoke was coming from our neighbor's house so they tried to break in.) It was 4:00am before we could fall back asleep again. So that is what happened. President thinks this story is hilarious. He suggested he give his missionaries a training on how to cook eggs.

As well as being saved from burning eggs, Heavenly Father allowed us to have huge winds one day. These winds were blowing around everything and their dog. Literally. A fluffy Pomeranian was not big enough and was blown by the wind and I saw it and ran to catch it! I returned him to his owner who then in turn said we could return to meet with him and his family.

We felt prompted to find in this specific park in our area. We got there and talked to a few people who were interested in listening. And then, I saw him. Wearing a blue and yellow HPD shirt (Hawaii Police Department) and pushing his baby girl around. His name was Benny Chen. We did not even have to introduce ourselves. He knew who we were, he asked us about our church and we taught him the restoration right there. He wanted his wife to hear our message to so we set up to meet with his family next week. Another miracle and another solid investigator! Oh, and he was wearing an HPD shirt because he lived in Hawaii for a while before moving back to Taiwan and his friend was in the force.

A lot of amazing things happened this week! and I can not wait to experience more this coming week! I hope you all remember not to forget your eggs on the stove! Love you!!!
