WEEKLY UPDATE: Always learning.

This week. Two words. Super Busy. Super Crazy. Very interesting.  Super fun. AHHH MAZING! It started off with a huge fire at a tire factory in our area that turned the entire sky black and filled the air with heat unpleasant smells. If someone saw you not wearing a face mask they would tell you to go buy one and put one on or just hand one to you. People here care a lot about your hea
lth.

We had to tactfully take control of our lessons this week. ALL of them. Our investigators love meeting with us and they love talking. They tend to go on unrelated tangents and rants about everything wrong with the metro system in Taiwan. (How is the one back home doing?) So finding the right balance between listening and knowing when to politely cut them off and get things focused again was a big part of our work this week. Not only do our investigators go on rants...our members do too! Their rants weren't completely unrelated (because we all know that the gospel can be related to EVERYTHING) but it was just funny. We could go from Adam and Eve to relationships to a member telling us how she just recently found her ex-boyfriend from college on facebook and how that rekindled a feeling……….😮

Haha.  Anyway, because Guonian (Chinese New Year) is right around the corner, EVERYONE WANTS TO FEED THE MISSIONARIES! On Sunday, literally every single member that walked up to us was like, "What is your schedule like on this day? Nothing? Okay, come to my house. I want to feed you. " One member meal is enough to keep me full for a day....now, we have 3 meals every day for the next week and a half……thank.you.guonian.
