So today is our P-day, if you didn't already know, and we get to go to the temple! How blessed are we that so often we get to spend time in the House of the Lord. I absolutely Love the temple! Fam, I encourage everyone to GO OFTEN!
This week was pretty busy, as always. We have been teaching a lot and am happy to report that ALL of our investigators are making and keeping their commitments HOWEVER, they ALL work on Sunday.....Seriously, this has been a struggle for us and for them. And, finding a job with a reasonable salary that allows one to not work on Sunday is not that simple. Our investigators are AMAZING! Pretty much GOLDEN, they just don't quite understand how much of a blessing it is to keep the Sabbath day holy and not work on Sundays! We're working on it though. Lot's of study, planning and prayers as to how exactly we can help them.
There is a meme that I saw the other day that said, "Read the Book of Mormon, that's how they get you." And as bad as it sounds, it's true! We had an investigator who we met with who after our first lesson we gave her a Book of Mormon. The next few lessons, she still hadn't read it. We decided one lesson, we would sit down and read it with her. After that, she was hooked! She actually confessed that she would not read the Book of Mormon before because her pastor told her that it was of the devil....so she was scared to read it. But after reading it, she said it is much easier to read than the bible AND it teaches us all the same things!
Yesterday we went to the RTMart (It's like Wal-mart) and we bought a big whiteboard. Now, we ride bicycles everywhere and the RT Mart is a bit of a ways away from our house. SO, I had to go surfer and bike home in the middle of traffic with one hand on my handle bars and a big whiteboard tucked under my arm. Not the BEST idea...haha BUT i know that Heavenly Father was watching over us because every light was green! There was one light at a crazy intersection at one part of the road and I got to the line with 20 seconds left on the red light countdown and right as I was about to get off my bike (because it's a red light and you're supposed to stop at red lights) the light turns green! haha I don't know why, I just thought that was cool and wanted to share it.
Anyway, that's the low down for this week. Talk to you all on Monday!
